Carmen Coombs M.D.

Hailing from the small farming community of Fielding, Utah, Carmen Coombs graduated from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash., received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins in 2004 and completed her residency in pediatrics at Hopkins in 2007. After she earns her master’s degree in public health from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health later this year, she will become the chief resident at the Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

Now in Ethiopia working on a pediatric HIV/AIDS project, Coombs is engaged to Andrew Dale.
